Marianela Jacob APRN, FNP-BC, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a private practice in Waipahu Hawaii. She is also the current president of LAING (Language Acquisition and Immersion for the New Generation) a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the cultural, linguistic, artistic, and literary heritages of the immigrant communities of Hawaii. Marianela served as a Board of Trustees of the Philippine Nurses Association of America Foundation 2018-2019. She was also a Past President of the Philippine Nurses Association Hawaii 2010-2012.

GINA LARDIZABAL

Patient Advocate Leader

Gina Lardizabal currently works as a receptionist at Healthcare School of Hawaii, a training school for nurse assistants in Aiea, Hawaii. She facilitates the student’s application process, medical clearance, and other requirements for admission to the program. Her job is integral to the journey that the new student needs to follow. She is also a mother of two teenage children and a loving wife to her husband Rolando. She is a devoted Catholic and active in church activities. She is currently the chairman to the Ways and Means Committee of St Theresa Church in Honolulu. Gina belongs to a big Ilocano community and is actively participating in numerous community immersion and cultural programs.
